Comic 1125 - Objects In Mirror

When gazing past Milky Way stars
Or glancing behind you in cars
That object in view
May be Neptuney blue
Though it seems to be redder than Mars.

Comic 1106 - ADD

All those things I was meaning to do
Slipped my grip, caught the wind and then flew.
I watch them disappear
In the ionosphere
Like balloons of He or H2.

Original comic here.

Novelty hydrogen balloons are for those of us who live in alternate reality, "steampunk" type universes. Philip Pullman and all that.

Comic 1104 - Feathers

Dinosaurs used to be brillo
When they were smooth like armadillo.
These feathers are weird,
Though if they reappeared
I'd love me a dinosaur pillow.

Comic 1035 - Cadbury Eggs

Mmm, delicious soda... Oh, bugger!
That’s three Cadbury eggs’ worth of sugar!
If I keep on drinking
This stuff without thinking,
I’ll be the size of a beluga.

Original comic here.

Of course, anyone who would say "oh, bugger" probably wouldn't be calling it soda. And would be much more likely to say "creme egg" than "Cadbury egg". Sometimes these poems just make no sense at all.

As linguistic anthropologists scour the globe for an accent that would make this poem rhyme properly.

Classic comic 590 - Papyrus

That maddening typeface, Papyrus!
There's nothing more certain to tire us.
It's used with a smile
But you look infantile,
Like some fan of Bieber or Cyrus.

Original comic here.

A classic comic for a Friday morning, while we're on the subject of typography.

Comic 1014 - Car Problems

There once was a man from Missouri
Whose car went up, hotter than curry.
Burnt out, boot to bonnet
And to put the cap on it
The pic he took came out all blurry.

Original comic here.

I'm going to admit to using half-rhyme in this one, although if you are lucky enough your accent may manouevre them all into the same rhyme-space.

Of course, the man from Missouri himself would say "burnt out, trunk to hood". And he might not eat very much curry. And in all probability, he could have access to superior photographic equipment, which he might very well use rather adeptly. So really, this whole limerick is complete fantasy.

Comic 994 - Advent Calendar

If you are a Christmas Day keeno
Don't buy Advent goodies from Zeno.
As each half-time passes
Time flows like molasses
With infinite points in between-o.

Original comic here.

So begins Limerixkcd's annual post-Christmas catch-up. More soon.

Comic 967 - Prairie

The prairie! Th' American plain
With waves like the wild Spanish Main!
But on close observation
There's a transformation:
They're particles amber of grain.

Picking passwords for personal places?
Don't mess round with numbers and cases!
Four words, you will find
Stick much faster in mind
And are safer than platinum braces.

Comic 926 - Time Vulture

Whether Philistine or man of culture
Beware of the frumious Time Vulture
Who will grimly endure
Till you croak, for as sure
As Death, Death will finally halt ya.

Original comic here.

Classic comic 162 - Angular Momentum

There once was a girl from Marbella
Who spun like a Spitfire propeller.
The more the girl whirled
The slower th' world twirled
And the more secs she had with her fella.
