The zero-five hurricane season
Just went on and on for no reason.
Epsilon and zeta,
Expected to peter
Out, had some fun getting their tease on.

Comic 1119 - Undoing
My wind turbine powers a fan
Which blows a ball into a can
Which sets off a switch
For a solar lamp, which
I’m using to top up my tan.
Comic 1117 - My Sky
There once was a man from Shanghai
Who owned forty per cent of the sky.
His friends’ good intention
Was never to mention
That it ain’t a thing you can buy.

Comic 1026 - Compare and Contrast
My love's like a day in the summer
She's short and she makes you feel glummer
She's wet and she's cold
And unkind to the old
No wait, that's the wrong season. Bummer.
Original comic here.

Comic 1010 - Etymology-Man
When seawater turns homicidal
Post-earthquake, d'you call it a tidal
Wave, or a tsunami?
Either way, you'd be barmy
To sit splitting hairs, being idle.
Original comic here.

Classic comic 22 - Barrel - Part 3
There once was a boy in a drum
Who drifted in search of his mum.
He was caught, while unready,
In a fast-flowing eddy:
His future looks gloomy and glum.
Original comic here.
The third episode in this gripping tale. Parts 1 and 2 are here and here.

Comic 957 - Development
There once was a whirlwind named Rina
Which blew stronger, harder and meaner.
And then it mutated
And got fascinated
With philosophy (unlike Katrina).
Original comic here.
I have tagged this with "Comics I didn't really understand", but to be honest that hardly begins to cover it. I am certainly not trying to make light of Hurricane Katrina; but no matter the devastation it caused, there is no denying that it rhymes with "Rina".

Comic 944 - Hurricane Names
Hurricanes (storms, but much wetter)
Are given names, one for each letter.
The year we all dread
Is when they go past zed
And on into alpha and beta.
Original comic here.

Comic 831 - Weather Radar
The storm that you see on the screen
May appear to approach force thirteen
But it's only confined
To the weatherman's mind -
He can see you refresh, and he's mean.
Original comic here.
I'm posting like a mad dervish here just to get up-to-date. I expect things will settle down soon, though.
